Abstract
Undoubtedly, in any case, proper nutrition can be the "medicine" for improving human health in general and especially for people with major neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), according to studies. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate existing dietary recommendations for children with ASD and to what extent nutrition can contribute to the communication and social field, as well as to improve the behavior of this particular group in general. Methodology: In order to carry out the present study, in-depth research was conducted on internationally valid databases using keywords to answer the research questions. At the same time, the experimental research method was chosen to construct the snack for people with autism. Results: Research conducted in a large number of bibliographical references, despite the lack of newer data and clinical trials, has found significant nutritional approaches aimed at enhancing the behavioral and social behavior of people with autism. One of the most popular and recommended as appropriate was nutrition Gluten free diet and or Low-carbohydrate – high protein diet.
